Recent work has included studies of figures in landscape and music sessions as well as continued exploration of landscape particularly of Donegal, Achill and Connemara. These pieces are painted thickly involving layers of paint applied by brush and palette knife. They are at times supported with wordplay in the form of poetry.

Title "The Long Arm and the little Black Dog"
oil study thickly painted ...see word play below

"Straight back winged arms balance in timeless posture

Feet twist sand tight dig seagull chorus…. time frozen

Stillness tension control and hold…wind lull frame

Goading .. dog yelps arm to throw

Men and boulders etched watch wait listen

Incised the weathered breath held still

Coiled spring torque twist and long.....then piercing bark…the moment gone"
